Following veterinary school, Dr. Estabrooks completed a one-year rotating internship at the hospital of the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine on the campus of Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, VA. Dr. Estabrooks returned to the University of Tennessee for additional training in a one-year specialty oncology internship. He next completed his residency in medical oncology at Tufts University, where he worked on research projects in both canine osteosarcoma and hemangiosarcoma and presented his findings at the 2021 Annual Conference of the Veterinary Cancer Society.
