Bio
Dr. Taryn Overton earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology at Nebraska Wesleyan University. She graduated from the University of Nebraska/Iowa State University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2014, and pursued further academic training with a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Rotating Internship at Kansas State University.
She completed an Ophthalmology Internship at MedVet Medical and Cancer Center for Pets before joining the Animal Eye Guys team.
Dr. Swinger served as her primary mentor during her Comparative Veterinary Ophthalmology residency which was completed in 2020.
Dr. Overton has a cat named Hitchens, and enjoys the beaches of South Florida in her free time.
