Bio
Dr. Schraeder was born and raised in Petal, MS. After graduating from The University of Southern Mississippi, she attended Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine (Go Dawgs!) and graduated in 2017. Since then she spent a year in Colorado completing a rotating internship, and then a year in Texas working as an emergency veterinarian. Sarah moved back home and joined the Pet Hospitals in 2019.
She has always wanted to be a vet since she was young, and has been looking forward to working with her family (aunt Dr. Gibson, sister Dr. Lee) for several years.
Her favorite part about being a veterinarian is building relationships with pet owners and their furry family members. She also enjoys wound care/management, and emergency medicine, and loves working with the staff at the Pet Hospitals who help keep her laughing.
She has three fur kiddos at home: Bailey (cat), Murphy (Jack Russell Terrier mix), and Benny (German Shorthair).
