Bio
Dr. Farruggia is a 2009 Honors Graduate from Rutgers University Bachelor of Science, where he received his major in Animal Science. He then went on to attend veterinary school at University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, with a focus in small animal emergency and critical care.
Dr. Farruggia has practiced a combination of emergency and general practice since he graduated vet school in 2013, and has special interest in pain management, nutrition, cardiology, anesthesia, senior wellness, and preventative medicine.
When he isn’t helping our pets and clients, he can be found on his farm with his wife Kristen, and daughter six-year-old daughter, Arielle, as well as their 8 cats, 3 dogs, 5 pigs, 8 chickens, and 9 goats. The family enjoys also growing their own produce and running a 501(c3) non-profit animal rescue group.
Dr. Farruggia says that family time is his favorite, and loves rock climbing, building things, reading, playing games, and going on outdoor adventures with Arielle. He also enjoys building computers for fun.
