Bio
Dr. Nicolayevsky Zekaria (Dr Nic) earned a Bachelor of Arts from University of Pennsylvania in 1991 then went on to earn a Master in Education from Pepperdine University in 1996. After working in various elementary schools throughout the Los Angeles area and honing her skills as a teacher, Dr. Nic soon realized she yearned to combine her love of teaching with her lifelong love of animals. In order to accomplish her dream, Dr. Nic returned to school, ultimately earning a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2003.
Dr. Nic has been practicing veterinary medicine at Rancho Park since 2003. Although she and her family have moved to the Santa Ynez Valley, Dr Nic continues to be part of the Rancho Park family as a relief veterinarian. Her interests are dermatology, internal medicine, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and behavior medicine. She is dedicated to educating and empowering her clients and is looking forward to meeting you and your furry family members.
When not working, Dr. Nic is passionate about mentoring the next generation of veterinarians and raising money for endangered mountain gorillas. She also loves spending time with her husband, her twins, and her Bernadoodle named Gus.
