Bio
Dr. Kristi Ellis was born and raised in California. She earned a BS in Bioengineering from UC San Diego, and then attended veterinary school at UC Davis, graduating in 2002. She worked in general practice for the first 5 years of her career. In 2007, Dr. Ellis transitioned to shelter medicine and worked at the Oregon Humane Society for 7 years, where she helped train veterinary students from Oregon State University.
In 2014, Dr. Ellis returned to UC Davis as a clinical instructor in shelter medicine, but eventually returned to the Pacific NW. In 2018, she began working in emergency medicine and urgent care in the Portland area, and joined the team at Cascade Veterinary Referral Center in 2024.
Dr. Ellis shares her home with her husband, two teenage sons, and a menagerie of pets, including a Russian tortoise and two jumping spiders. She enjoys hiking, bird watching, traveling, and pub trivia.
