Bio
Meet Dr. Porter! Dr. Porter graduated from the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020 (Go Dawgs!) following his undergraduate studies at Auburn University (War Eagle!). He started with Oakwood in December of 2020 and became Medical Director in 2024.
Growing up in Loganville, he met his wife Courtney who also practices as a Veterinarian. Together they have one dog named Chief and four cats named Leo, Taters, Willow, and Nemo. In his spare time, Dr. Porter's hobbies include watching the Braves, college football, playing tennis, hunting, fishing, golfing, and hiking.
As a Veterinarian, Dr. Porter's special interests include cardiology, orthopedics, preventative medicine, and surgery. Dr. Porter has a gift for teaching and developing those around him and he has created a culture at Oakwood of compassion, quality, kindness, and excellence.
