Bio
A graduate of Macon Academy, Dr. C. F. Locklar, Jr. attended Auburn University, where he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and was a member of Alpha Psi Professional Veterinary Fraternity and the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
After graduation, Dr Locklar Jr. worked as an associate veterinarian at Animal Clinic of Tullahoma in Tullahoma, TN where he gained invaluable experience in large animal care. In 1984, he purchased Maury County Veterinary Hospital and has been working here as a veterinarian ever since.
Dr. Locklar Jr. is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association, the Maury Country Veterinary Medical Association, the Society of Theriogenology, the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, and the National Federation of Independent Businesses.
Dr. Locklar has served as a member of a number of local organizations, including the Kiwanis Club, the First City Bank Advisory Board, the Maury County Animal Shelter, the Better Business Bureau and the Rotary Club.
