Bio
Dr. Dara Johnson is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rotating small animal internship at NorthStar VETS in New Jersey before focusing on emergency and critical care medicine.
Before veterinary school, she worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician at emergency and specialty hospitals in New York City and Pittsburgh. Dr. Johnson is originally from Weston, Connecticut, and enjoyed a first career as a dancer with the New York City Ballet, performing in NYC and internationally for over a decade.
Dr. Johnson enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family, and anything related to gardening; her parents were the owners of Lexington Gardens, which was just down the street from Newtown Veterinary Specialists for over 30 years.
